Your secret escape to New Aquitaine Villa Orangère is situated in the pristine rural town of Bonneuil-Matours, just a short 20 kilometre drive from the ancient city of Poitiers, in the Poutou-Charentes, Vienne (86). The region is now part of the expanded New Aquitaine region of south-western France and an extremely popular stopping point for holidaymakers heading south through France. As you head down the main A10 motorway, which connects Paris to Bordeaux, take a break with us and explore historic Poitiers and its surrounding countryside. If you’re coming to us by train, there are two TGV stations serving Poitiers and another in Chatellerault. There also of course regular flights from a range of British cities directly into Poitiers’ Biard Airport. The region is increasingly becoming a destination in itself for many Brits, helped not least by the fact that we have second hottest climate in France, after Marseilles. We’re also fortunate to be just a short drive from the world famous Futuroscope theme park - an impressive multimedia and cinematic experience for all. If you come in the summer months you’ll almost certainly want to head there for the nightly fireworks, lights and fountain shows - they are spectacular. Villa Orangère, situated in its own secluded grounds and surrounded by the 4,000 hectare Forest of Moulieres, can guarantee you a total escape from the world. And you can dine with us, too. We have a delicious table d'hôtes menu and source nearly all of our ingredients locally. We’re ready to welcome you you our comfortable and intimate dining salon or, weather permitting, our lovely terrace. We have three very comfortable bedrooms in all, each with large beds and two including shower rooms. We provide a daily room tidy service during your stay, and tea making facilities are included in all our rooms. If you want to really chill in a bit of luxury, you can relax in our superb six-person Jacuzzi (€10 supplement for two people) with complimentary bathrobes and towels. Villa Orangère is situated between two of France’s most famous wine regions - fruity Bordeaux to the south and the flinty Loire to the north, so you should treat yourself to a delicious glass of wine, while relaxing in our exclusive grounds.
